This month, we offer Mikasa Crystal’s Italian Countryside.  This heavy crystal pattern is highly detailed.  The bowl of each piece is accented with two simple bands.  A spray of grey-cut leaves and berries appears between these two bands.  A series of vertical diamond cuts appear on the bowl of each piece.  This creates a special effect whereby light is captured and scattered.  The stems are multi-sided and spring from a simple, round foot.  Mikasa’s creation certainly brings to mind the fertile, wine-rich lands of Tuscany.  With stemware from this exquisite pattern you are sure to feel like you are sipping Chianti at a Tuscan winery.
