Replacements, Ltd.
Featured Pet - October 2004
This
month, we feature a mischievous pug named “Buddha.” This delightful
puppy belongs to Alice Mitchell, a member of our Customer Service management team.
For a couple of years, Alice and her partner, Meg, were looking to adopt a pug.
Their search to find a suitable companion took some time. Much to their delight,
they were able to locate a twelve week old male. Like most pugs, this one had
a fat belly so Alice decided to name him Buddha.
Buddha quickly acclimated to his new home with Alice. Although
they took some time to get to know one another, Buddha eventually grew to love
his canine sisters, Xena and Stevie. Alice explained that Buddha loves little
children. However, he tends to be a bit sneaky around them. Buddha’s favorite
toy is a pacifier. If he sees a child with one, he’ll jump up to give a
kiss, and just when the child laughs and the pacifier is dropped, Buddha grabs
it and runs. Buddha’s favorite activity at work is to stalk packing noodles.
If he sees a stray packing noodle in his path, he lays on the ground, waggles,
and whimpers—until finally building the courage to bat the noodle away.
Alice had this to say about the Replacements, Ltd. pet friendly
policy, “I believe the pet friendly policy is a unique benefit that contributes
to relaxation and humor throughout the day. It is a delight to work in customer
service and assist in finding win-win resolutions for our customers. There is
also a certain amount of pleasure in knowing I will have several opportunities
to assist our internal furry customers with a treat, scratch, or rub. It puts
a smile on my face and can be the most fun win-win solution of the day.”
Buddha and Alice are both special members of the Replacements, Ltd. team. However,
if you have a child with a pacifier – watch out.
